What do we mean when we say we're increasing access?

Geographic accessibility

In cities where fertility clinics are scarce, we step in to bridge the gap. We value the importance of timely and tailored care for successful outcomes. Ensuring geographical access to care is pivotal in delivering equitable and effective treatment to all those pursuing fertility solutions.

Financial accessibility

The financial burden of treatment can present a substantial obstacle to accessing care, leaving patients grappling with economic difficulties as they try to afford treatment. We’re committed to maintain prices that are consistently 25-40% more affordable than the nearest clinic, with the goal of reducing disparities in access to fertility care.

Helpful Information

When and why should we start thinking about a consult with a fertility doctor?

If you’re in a heterosexual partnership and have been trying to conceive naturally for more than 12 months without success, it’s a good idea to consult a doctor. For individuals over the age of 35, seeking assistance after 6 months of unsuccessful attempts is recommended. If you have known conditions like endometriosis, PCOS, or low sperm count that may impact fertility, it’s advisable to seek immediate evaluation.

How much does a fertility evaluation cost?

At Mate Fertility, our comprehensive fertility assessment is priced at $750, covering both partners. For individuals seeking assessment, please contact the clinic for separate pricing. This includes vital lab work, hormone level evaluations, infectious disease screening, and a semen analysis. Additionally, it covers an ultrasound and an extended 30-minute consultation with your provider to discuss results and make recommendations. Diagnostic testing could potentially be covered by insurance, so we will provide a superbill for reimbursement after treatment. Thorough testing is essential for an accurate diagnosis tailored to your specific circumstances.

How much does IVF cost in 2023?

The typical cost of an IVF cycle nationwide can vary between $15,000 to $25,000 per cycle. At Mate Fertility, we provide a single IVF cycle for approximately $8,900.

Is fertility testing covered by insurance?

If you’re insured, certain diagnostic tests taken during your fertility assessment might be covered. For those without insurance, these tests would be paid out of pocket. The coverage depends on your specific plan. At Mate, we will conduct a benefits check and of course provide a superbill after treatment for potential reimbursement. We highly recommend calling your insurance carrier to check what’s covered and confirming that a superbill works for reimbursement.

Is finding a doctor hard?

At Mate, your care plan, medication dosing, and test results receive thorough oversight from a team of experts. We’ve engaged world-renowned specialists across all cases to provide a valuable second opinion. With Mate, you benefit from the insights of at least two physicians, reproductive endocrinologists, PhD embryologists, and a dedicated group of nurses, ensuring comprehensive review of your care journey. We encourage people to do their research when exploring fertility clinics, but finding the right team can be a challenge. While Google is a good place to start, you won’t know how you feel until you speak with someone. The most important person in your care journey will probably be your nurse, so take note of how you interact and feel with the RNs in particular.

Is egg freezing a good idea?

Egg freezing is an ideal option if you’re focused on preserving your fertility and not currently planning for parenthood. This process involves harvesting as many eggs as possible from a stimulation cycle and freezing them for later use. Embracing egg freezing empowers you with more control, flexibility, and the opportunity to make informed decisions about your family’s future when the time is right. It is critical to understand that egg freezing is not a guarantee that you will have a baby in the future. Not every egg leads to a baby, no matter how young you are. However, if you freeze your eggs before the age of 35, your chances of having a successful pregnancy from those eggs are much better.

How can fertility treatments help me?

All fertility treatments fall under the umbrella of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). Whether you’re facing challenges with natural conception, aiming to become a single parent, or navigating a same-sex relationship, ART treatments provide a pathway to parenthood. At its core, ART simplifies the process of egg fertilization and embryo development for optimal pregnancy outcomes. The most successful approach, known as IVF, entails fertilizing eggs in a controlled laboratory environment under the guidance of skilled scientists. These carefully developed embryos are then delicately transferred to the uterus, maximizing the potential for a successful pregnancy.
